Our upgrades have now been completed and normal service has been restored. Thanks for your patience!

We have recently been changing how Ballroom Genie works behind the scenes. This should bring several improvements, including speeding up the site and reducing how much data we use for visitors on mobile devices. It will also make it easier for us to add more videos and other new features in the future.

As part of this work, we expect the site to be offline temporarily for part of tomorrow afternoon (UK time). We will keep the interruption as brief as possible, and we apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

We are based in the UK, so like all businesses here, we are subject to a new European privacy law that comes into effect later this week.

We have always limited how much personal data we collect and we only ever use it for purposes that are genuinely relevant to running Ballroom Genie, so we do not expect to change anything fundamental because of the GDPR.

However, we will be required to provide some information in a slightly different way under the new regulations. As part of our changes this week, we will therefore be publishing an updated privacy policy that will apply from Friday 25 May. As always, you can find links to the latest version of all our legal policies at the bottom of any page on the site.
